Hand-painted blue Delft windmill brooch from the early 1900s has a "C" clasp. The clasp is stamped with 835. This hallmark is hard to see with the naked eye but with a good loop you can't miss it. After researching 835 I found it is the purity hallmark of European silver, which is 83.5% silver and 16.5%, copper.
It measures 1 3/4 inch in length and 7/8 inch in width.
The brooch has some crazing but other than that it is in very good condition considering the age of it. I do my best to describe any faults I find. Also pay close attention to my pictures, if you need another view please let me know.
